The Practical Home Herbalist
This is a much more extensive course intended for those who want to gain a more in depth, practical knowledge of using herbs. It will combine theory and practice through the seasons, identifying and harvesting herbs, preserving and making products and learning how they can be used to treat everyday health problems and injuries. Each participant will build up a handbook over the year and make and take home a herbal first aid kit of tinctures, teas, syrups and creams to use.
There will be guided study and "homework projects" to complete between weekends. It is intended that the participants will finish the year with the knowledge to treat themselves and family and friends with simple health conditions.
This is not a professional qualification, and any un-diagnosed illness or worsening condition should always be referred to a qualified health practitioner.
